XIOS/3 is a Swedish company, based in Linköping, founded with the intention to revolutionize open source and web development
Our technology enable developers, software companies and enterprises to increase the value of their code by facilitating reusability & faster time-to-market, while lowering development cost & improving the user experience of web applications.
Our invention is an Edge Application Platform, designed to make the development of Rich Internet Applications as easy as building a regular website. Instead of complex programming, with multiple frameworks, libraries and custom code, application development in XIOS/3 is based around easy-to-learn Markup and completely reusable building blocks.
The technology can be described as an Application Server packaged and repurposed to work in a web browser, enabling high-quality web applications to be developed with up to 70% less code. The Edge Application Platform also enables all logic of applications to execute on the client side, enabling Edge Device Computing for web applications, introducing a whole new level of efficiency when running web applications.
The unique edge computing capabilities of XIOS/3 enables better usability in applications, with minimal latency and a native-like User Experience, as well as a reduction of servers required to run apps, saving customers up to two thirds of their cloud bill or need for servers.
XIOS/3 was founded as a spin-out from Xcerion, a Swedish company with decades of experience from the cloud and software industry. Xcerion is the company that built and launched the iCloud service until is was acquired, and has since its inception worked on technologies to improve developer efficiency, to shift data and execution to edge computing, and to find ways to embrace the future of cloud.
We’ve taken our first steps towards the Next Software Paradigm.
